Holiday Let Terms and Conditions
1. Booking
1.1. A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of the required deposit or full payment, as stated at the time of booking.
1.2. The person making the booking must be at least 18 years old and agrees to take responsibility for all members of the party.
2. Payment
2.1. A non-refundable deposit of [typically 25%] is due at the time of booking.
2.2. The balance must be paid in full [e.g., 6 weeks] before arrival. For bookings made within [6 weeks] of arrival, full payment is required at the time of booking.
2.3. Failure to pay on time may result in cancellation of the booking.
3. Security Deposit
3.1. A security/damage deposit of £[amount] may be required and will be returned within [e.g., 7 days] of departure, subject to no damage or excessive cleaning requirements.
4. Cancellation
4.1. Cancellations must be made in writing (email or post).
4.2. If cancellation occurs:
More than [6 weeks] before arrival – deposit forfeited.
Less than [6 weeks] before arrival – 100% of total cost may be charged unless the property is re-let.
4.3. We recommend travel insurance to cover unexpected cancellations.

6. Occupancy

6.2. No parties or events are permitted without written consent.
6.3. Only guests listed in the booking are permitted to stay overnight.
7. Use of the Property
7.1. Guests agree to keep the property and its contents in good condition.
7.2. Any breakages or damage must be reported immediately.
7.3. Smoking is not permitted inside the property.
7.4. No pets unless specifically agreed in writing.
8. Liability
8.1. The owners shall not be liable for any temporary defect or malfunction of equipment, appliances, or utilities.
8.2. No responsibility is accepted for loss or damage to personal belongings.
8.3. Guests use the property, its facilities, and surrounding area entirely at their own risk.
9. Complaints
9.1. Any complaints should be made as soon as possible during the stay to allow the issue to be addressed.
9.2. Complaints made after departure may not be considered if the owner was not made aware during the stay.
10. Right of Entry
10.1. The owner or their representative reserves the right to enter the property at reasonable times for inspection, maintenance, or emergencies.
11. Force Majeure
11.1. The owner is not liable for events beyond their control that prevent the rental (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics, etc.).
12. Governing Law
12.1. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of (Cornwall Council). on the day of arrival.
